Welcoming Bishop Greg Thompson to St John’s Church Newcastle

20150920-Bishop-Greg-ConfirmationBishop Greg’s visit on 20 September will be marked by our whole parish joining together for one united service at 10.45am. There will be no 9am or 5pm service on Sunday 20 September 2015. At this service, young people from our parish will be Confirmed in their faith. Confirmations are the opportunity for people to say that they accept the Christian faith, particularly when they were baptised into that faith when they were infants. This is a very important step in a person’s journey of faith, and so we are asking for all members of St John’s to be praying for the young people who will be Confirmed on this Sunday.

The service will be followed by a parish bring-and-share lunch, so please bring a plate of food to share. All are welcome to celebrate with us.
