Well, we have about one week to go until our next family-focussed event at St John’s – our lawn party on Saturday 20 January.
We’re looking for 2 volunteers to help prepare and serve some entreees from 11.30-12.30, and 5 volunteers to help with some lawn games from 12.30-2.30. Please email Mark Thornton markthomasthornton@gmail.com if you can assist with this!

20 January 2018 – noon Dress-up Soiree on the Church Lawn: Dress up as your favourite character for a fantastic luncheon in the churchgrounds – princesses, lords & ladies, pirates, animals, superheroes… all welcome!

Suitable for Primary & Pre-school aged children, who must be supervised by their carers.
Followed at midday by Refreshments & Sausage Sizzle

11 February 2018 – 5pm Messy Church goes “Back To School”. Heading back to school this year? Starting school for the first time? Get a great start to the year with our first 2018 Messy Church service at St John’s. Followed by a BBQ dinner.
Church cleaning
The Parish Council has decided to trial a roster system of volunteers to clean our church. The money saved will be put towards the cost of our ordinand in 2018. Fr Ken is co-ordinating the roster and is keen for you to let him know if you are prepared to do two hours cleaning per month. We need at least eight people to commit to this project for it to proceed. We’ve had a great response since announcing this project last week, but would love a few more people to complete the roster!
