Groups & Bible Studies

Connect and Study Groups

Studies at St John’s tend to be informal and centre around applying what has been heard on Sunday to your daily life and walk with God, as well as looking at specific sections of the Bible and teaching.

St John’s has a growing number of small groups that meet on a weekly or fortnightly basis at various homes and locations in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie. Small groups are a great way to build strong, supportive relationships with people on a faith journey similar to your own, as well as commit some time every week to learning, studying God’s word and praying together. Small groups are also a great way to become connected with St John’s and introduce new friends to Church life. To become involved in a small groups, just let one of our Ministry Team know.

Eco-Care Group

A group of passionate people who are united in caring for creation. We meet regularly and work to promote sustainable lifestyles within our church and in the wider community. Special events include eco-fairs, introducing native species into the church garden, special guests and season-based worship. All welcome! Contact admin@saintjohns.com.au for information on upcoming events and meetings.

Playgroup | Wednesday 10:00am

St John’s Playgroup, our program/playtime for preschool-aged children, meets on Wednesdays from 10am-12noon in the beautiful grounds of the church. It’s an active group of about 20 children along with their parent(s), grandparent(s) or carer(s) who come to play, sing, do craft and have fun together. Find out more…

St John’s Women’s Guild

The Women’s Guild at St John’s is an integral part of the church’s social activities and fundraising efforts. They help to organise special events and services, and also host a variety of fund-raisers throughout the year, including card lunches, high tea, fashion shows, our annual fair, and our famous Christmas puddings. The Guild meets monthly and new members are always welcome to come along and join.
